MRS. CABLE DEAD
Mrs. B.C. Cable aged 69 years, died at 4 o'clock this morning at the home of her son, Jack Cable, in Southwest Taylorville. She had been a resident of this city about 40 years.
She is survived by 5 children- one daughter Mrs. True, of Shawneetown; and four sons; Mint, Jack, and Thomas of this city and Sherman of Auburn.
The funeral services over the remains of the late Mrs. B.C. Cable occurred at 2 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the residence of Jack Cable in Southwest Taylorville, Rev. Shuler officiating. The remains were interred at Oak Hill Cemetery.
=====
I am told there is not a marker for her in the cemetery. Note that the obit is wrong, the family was in Centralia, Marion Co, IL in the June 12, 1880 census and had come there from Raleigh, Saline Co, IL. They were a family of coal miners.
