"Mrs. Levi Baker, was found dead in bed on Monday morning by members of her family at her home near Chase. Death was caused by heart trouble, Dr. G. E. Schoolcraft, acting as coroner's physician, announced. She had been afflicted for some time with the disease. Mrs. Baker was before her marriage Carrie Kane, a daughter of John and Maria (Hyde) Kane. She was born in Fly Creek December 20, 1870, and most of her entire life was spent in that locality. Surviving are the husband, three sons, Henry of Toddsville, Harley and Arthur, both at home, one daughter, Mrs. Charles Wheeler of Fly Creek, and a brother, Melvin D. of Fly Creek. The funeral was held at 2 o'clock Wednesday afternoon at the home of Fred Hickling at Toddsville. The Rev. George Roberts, pastor of the Hartwick Methodist church, officiated, and burial was made in the Fly Creek cemetery."
