Funeral services for Mrs. Ada Aliff, 92, of Fort Gay, were conducted April 14 in the Fort Gay Baptist Church. Burial was in Fort Gay cemetery. Mrs. Aliff died April 11 in the Louisa Community Hospital. Mrs. Aliff was born April 12, 1886, in Martin County, a daughter of the late Henry Clay and Elizabeth Cassidy Taylor. Her husband, William Henry Aliff, died i 1942. Surviving are four sons, Ray, Tom, William and Frank Aliff, all of Fort Gay; a daughter, Mrs. Garnette St. Clair of St. Petersburg, FL; two brothers, Dennis Taylor of Nolan, WV and Earl Taylor of Portsmouth; 15 grandchildren; 35 great grandchildren; 30 great-great grandchildren.
