NEWPORT NEWS - William James Monro, age 92, died Oct. 23, 1997, at James Point Care Center. He was a member of St. Andrews Society in Williamsburg.

He is survived by his daughter, Patricia A. Corbin; sisters, Grace Clemente, Peggy Hamilton, Marjorie Mullins and Gladys Tongue; brother, Gordon Monro; and three grandchildren and one great-granddaughter.

A graveside service will be held on Thursday, Oct. 30, at 11 a.m. in Quantico National Cemetery in Triangle. Arrangements by Mountcastle Funeral Home, 4143 Dale Blvd., Dale City.
