Isabella Jane McLaren married James Alexander Monro on 1 Sep 1904 in Cork, Ireland. In 1925 Isabella travelled on the R.M.S. Celtic with her 5 oldest children. James had already come to the United States. She lived in Glasgow Govan, Lanarkshire, Scotland as well as Larbert, Stirlingshire, Scotland and Patton, Allegheny County, Pennsylvania, USA. She died in her home in Wall, Allegheny, Pennsylvania. She was the mother of 11 children. One of her children, Harold Edward Monro died under the age of 1 in India and is buried there.

September 2014 - I went to Restland Memorial Park, located my great grandparents and tended to their graves. I find such peace spending a little bit of time with my great grandparents - hoping to let them know that there is still someone who cares enough about them.

Later that month - unbeknownst to me, their daughter Gladys joined them in the heavenly eternities. I can only imagine the reunion that they must have had there.

In the obituary located on 3 Nov 2019, it shows the names of Isabella's siblings. Florence Ross, Elizabeth Bremner and William McLaren (sp? McClaren) . Subsequent research reveals that Florence's name was Florence Henrietta McLaren (maiden name) Simpson (first marriage) Ross (second marriage in 1921)
