JOSEPH N JUCKEM

Joseph N. Juckem Sr., 80, of the town of Chilton, died Thursday afternoon in Chilton.
Born in West Hollandtown, Brown County, on Dec 6, 1884, the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Juckem, he was a farmer and certified seed grower for 35 years and retired eight years ago. He helped to organize the Calumet Memorial Hospital in Chilton and served on the hospital board. He was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Chilton and the Holy Name Society.

In 1916 he was married to Agnes Diedrich in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Hilbert and she died Feb 8, 1920. On Feb. 21, 1922 he was married to Catherine Diedrich in St. Mary's Church in Hilbert.

Survivors are his wife; six sons, George, Leonard, Herman and Anthony of the town of Chilton, John of Milwaukee and Father Benedict, SDS of Lanhan, Md.; six daughters, Sister Mary Carol, SDS of Milwaukee, Mrs. Arthur Kozminski and Miss Rita Ann Juckem of Milwaukee, Mrs. Anthony Leonard of the town of Chilton, Mrs. Ray Ries of Fond du Lac and Mrs. George Jost Jr. of Hilbert; one brother, Peter, of the town of Chilton; four sisters, Mrs. Mary Heim of Chilton, Mrs. John Kolbe of the town of Charlestown, Mrs. John Wolfinger of Appleton and Miss Clara Juckem of Sheboygan; and 30 grandchildren.

A brother and three sisters preceded him in death.

Funeral services will be at St. Mary's Church in Chilton. Father Benedict, SDS will be celebrant of the solemn requiem Mass and burial will be in the Church cemetery.
