Joseph J. Pauly, 73, of 25 Lehner Street, Chilton, died Saturday at Calumet Memorial Hospital, following a sudden illness.
Born December 3, 1910, in the town of Brothertown, he was a son of Joseph and Catherine Pauly.
He was married November 24, 1935 to Leonida Koehler, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton, and was employed as a construction worker in the area.
Mr. Pauly was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Chilton.
He is survived by his wife; a son, Ronald E. Pauly, Fond du Lac; eight grandchildren; five great grandchildren; three sisters, Mrs. Gertrude Bubb, of Sheboygan; Mrs. Josephine Schirmaister, Milwaukee; and Mrs. Walter (Marie) Gartz of New Holstein.
Three sisters and a brother preceded him in death.
The funeral Mass was Tuesday at St. Augustine Catholic Church in Chilton, with the Rev. Paul Brick celebrant. Burial was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery in Chilton.
