Harrisburg Telegraph newspaper, 22 January 1947:

Cletus I. Lerew, 63, formerly of Carlisle, died Monday at his home in Binghamton, N.Y.
He was the son of the late Henry and Mary Albert Lerew. Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Rose Swartz Lerew; a son, James Lerew; a daughter, Mrs. Claude Nelson, both of Binghamton; two brothers, Russell Lerew, Shippensburg, and Charles Lerew, Fort Smith, Ark.; three sisters, Mrs. Dora Fagan and Mrs. John Gries, both of Carlisle, and Mrs. W. Seifert Kingsborough, Carlisle Springs, and one grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at the Lutz funeral home, 219 North Hanover street, Carlisle. Burial will be in Westminster cemetery.
Friends may call Thursday night at the funeral home.
