Rev. Charles Lerew, 78, retired minister of Christian Missionary Alliance church in Columbus, died early Monday at the Sandusky County home where he had been a resident one week. He had been ill about six months.

Mr. Lerew was married in the United Brethren Parish, Fremont, March 15 1927, to the former Myrtie Rorick, who survives. He retired about five years ago moving to Fremont.

Born in Mechanicsburg, Pa., June 2, 1887, Mr. Lerew was the son of Mary J. and Henry Lerew. He attended the seminary in Dayton and Otterbein College. He held a teaching degree in Little Rock, Arkansas. He taught Greek at the Christian Missionary Alliance school at Beulah Beach, O.
