His headstone says he was born in 1891, but when he registered for the draft in 1918 Robert said he was born in 1890. First married to Gertrude Broadbent in Port Huron 26 Aug 1918 and apparently divorced. Married next 14 Jul 1920 in Cheboygan, MI to Pearl Patterson Farnsworth, widow of his cousin, Charles E. Farnworth, who had died in 1915. They had no known children. He is buried with his parents and several siblings in the family plot.
