Marion R. Sauer, 93, of Bernville, died Tuesday afternoon in the St. Joseph's Medical Center. She was the widow of Lewis F. Sauer Sr., who died March 24, 2010. The Sauers celebrated 69 years of marriage. Marion was born in Reading on Oct. 5, 1919. She was the daughter of the late Oscar R. and Sallie A. (Eck) Long.
Surviving is a son, and a daughter, seven grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren, and sixteen great-great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters. Marion was employed 23 years by the former Bernville Shoe Factory, last working as a floor lady and sewing machine operator. Interment in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
