He was the husband of Georgiana (Lupo) Long.
Born in Reading, he was a son of the late Oscar and Sally (Eck) Long.
Long was employed 30 years as an electrician by the former Berylium Corp., now NGK Metals, Muhlenberg Township, retiring in 1978.
He was an Army veteran of World War II.
Long was a member of the Seventh-Day Adventist Church, Kenhorst.
He is also survived by two daughters, Pamela J. Dziedzic, Wyomissing Hills, and Mary, wife of William Morris, West Lawn; and five sons: Franklin R. Jr., Sinking Spring; Warren R., Dominick L. and Wayne T., all of Wernersville; and Terry L., Mohrsville.
Other survivorrs include a brother, Oscar, Reading; and four sisters: Sally, widow of Herman Lutz, Reading; and Marian Sauer, Arlene Swartz and Esther Luckenbill, all of Bernville.
There are also 18 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Services will be Wednesday at noon in the Auman Funeral Home, Reiffton. Burial will be in Forest Hills Memorial Park, Reiffton.
