He died Monday, July 16, 2001 in Shippensburg Health Care Center.
Born March 29, 1908 in Hopewell Township, he was a son of the late George B. McClellan and Annie Stover Heberlig.
A 1929 graduate of Shippensburg High School, he worked in the family farming and lumbering business. Later, he served for 12 years as a dairy herd improvement association supervisor in Berks County, worked at Affiliated Industries, and was a custodian at Shippensburg Junior High School.
A longtime member of Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg, he enjoyed reading and was interested in researching family genealogy.
Mr. Heberlig is survived by a brother, G. Wayne Heberlig of Akron; 18 nieces and nephews; many grandnieces and grandnephews.
He was preceded in death by four sisters and four brothers.
The Rev. Ernest N. Rumbaugh Jr. will officiate at services. Burial will be in Zion Cemetery, Hopewell Township.
