NEWBURG Frederick L. Heberlig, 89, of 252 Newburg Road died Tuesday in Chambersburg Hospital.
He was a retired farmer and a member, elder emeritus, former financial secretary and former consistory president of Grace United Church of Christ, Shippensburg.
He was the widower of Mary Reese Heberlig. Surviving are two sons, George M. of Middletown and F. David of Newburg; three daughters, Shirley Goodyear of Harrisburg, Dolores Bressler of Indianapolis and Winifred Appleby of Shippensburg; two brothers, Ralph of Shippensburg and G. Wayne of Akron; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday in his church. Burial will be in Zion Hill Cemetery, Hopewell Twp.
