Edith M. Cykana, 77, of 4908 S. 15th St., died at Aurora Sheboygan Memorial Medical Center on Thursday morning, Feb. 10, 2005.

Edith was born Sept. 21, 1927 in Sheboygan to George and Catherine (Vercouteren) Lubach. She attended local elementary schools before graduating from North High School, Class of 1945.

On Nov. 13, 1948 she was united in marriage to Joseph V. Cykana of Sheboygan.

Edith was employed at Gino’s, Rupp’s at Riverdale and most recently at the American Club in Kohler.

Many happy times were spent at Lakeshore Lanes with the Thursday Senior Prime Time Bowlers. She also enjoyed reading and trips to area casinos.

In addition to her husband, Joseph, Edith is survived by two sons, Michael (Wendy) Cykana of Mansfield, Texas and their children, Christopher (Heidi), Peter and Kaitlin; and Phillip (Julie Lindahl M.D.) Cykana of Minnetonka, Minn. and their son, Tom; a daughter, Linda Cykana of Madison, and her children, Jeremy and Jenell; three great-grandchildren, Evan, Noelle and Alexis; a brother, Carl Lubach of Sheboygan; three sisters, Geraldine Dunne of La Crosse, Carol Spelshaus of Sheboygan and Bernice (Kenneth) Sabrowsky of Howards Grove; a sister-in-law, Doris Lubach of Sheboygan; and other family members.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Mulder; a brother, George Lubach; an infant brother, Harold; a sister-in-law, Dela Lubach; and two brothers-in-law, Desmond Dunne and Roger Spelshaus.
