Carl began his employment with Sheboygan Falls Creamery as a deliveryman. Area residents will remember the horse stables on N. 11th St. in Sheboygan. Lake to Lake Dairy later purchased the creamery. Carl also worked in the dairy building until his retirement in 1984. Carl's family heard many stories about his delivery days with a horse drawn wagon through Sheboygan's south side neighborhoods.
Carl enjoyed raising and racing pigeons and was an avid bowler.
Survivors include a son, David (Carole) Lubach of Sheboygan; four daughters, Mary Jane (Thomas) Schmitt, Pamela (Lester) Aschenbach, Janice (John) Jurss all of Sheboygan and LuAnn (John) Lundin of Appleton; eleven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; three sisters, Geraldine Dunn of LaCrosse, Carol Spelshaus and Bernice (Ken) Sabrowsky both of Sheboygan; a brother-in-law, Joe Cykana and a sister-in-law, Doris Lubach both of Sheboygan; and other relatives and friends.
In addition to his wife, Carl was preceded in death by two brothers and two sisters.
Carl would always offer his calm words of encouragement by saying, "never worry". He would always find room at home for a homeless pet, which, at one point, included, turtles, a monkey and an alligator. " Mom never knew what dad would bring home after work".
