"Mathias Rock
Mathias Rock, 64, tavern keeper of the town of New Berlin, Waukesha county, died at his home Monday after a six month illness.
Born in Sheboygan county, Mr. Rock came to West Allis more than 40 years ago. He had operated taverns and restaurants in West Allis and vicinity for about 30 years. At the time of his death he had a tavern at Highway 15 and Sunny Slope rd., near his home. At one time, he was in the cement business and built many sidewalks in West Allis.
Survivors are his wife, Magdalen; a son, Mathias, jr., and two daughters, Mrs. Helen Polakowski and Margaret, all of whom live in West Allis and vicinity; also one sister and four brothers in Sheboygan county.
Funeral services will be conducted at the Koclach chapel, 7626 W. Greenfield av., and at 10 a.m. at the Holy Apostle church in New Berlin. Burial will be in Holy Cross cemetery."
