W.F. Rock Real Estate Dealer Dies
Funeral services for William F. Rock, who passed away suddenly last Wednesday at the home of E.L. Hirsch at Milwaukee were held Saturday morning at 9:00 o'clock from the Meiselwitz Funeral Home, and at 10:00 o'clock from the Ss. Peter and Paul Catholic church. A solemn high mass was read by the Rev. F.X. Kheil, with the Rev. A.J. July as deacon, and the Rev. C.P. Kern as sub-deacon.
Mr and Mrs. Rock were visiting at the Hirsch home as death claimed Mr. Rock.
Pallbearers were Andrew Dhein, Nic Schram, Joseph Keuler, Vincent Walsdorf, Peter Dorn, and Alfred Schaller. The members of the Holy Name Society of which organization Mr. Rock was a member, attended the funeral services in a body.
William F. Rock was born July 12, 1870 in the town of Meeme. November 23, 1903 he was married to Elizabeth Schaller. The couple resided on a farm in the town of Meeme for 11 years, where he served as town supervisor for four years. In 1915 the family moved to School Hill, where Mr. Rock operated a garage for seven years, and in 1921 they moved to Plymouth. There they operated a grocery store. In 1924, the family moved to this city where they have since made their home. Here he carried on the business of real estate broker.
Mr. Rock is survived by his wife; one son, Norbert; five daughters, Mrs. Marie Trimberger of Plymouth, Mrs. Harry (Betty) Klaeser of this city, Mrs. Herbert (Cathryn) Langemak of Plymouth, and Mrs. Leo (Viola) Walsdorf and Mrs. Robert (Loraine) Michels of this city; two brothers John Rock of Sheboygan, and Peter Rock of Manitowoc, and one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Dieringer of Sheboygan.
