NUNEZ, Ga. -- Mr. Elmore Alcott Jr., 70, died Wednesday, Jan. 19, 2000, at Jenkins County Hospital. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Peebles Curry Durden Mortuary with the Revs. Charles Ray, Bobby Taylor and Woodrow Wilson officiating. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Baptist Church Cemetery, Garfield. Mr. Alcott, a native of Emanuel County, was a former employee of Georgia Highway Department. He was Baptist.
Survivors include two brothers, Earl Alcott, Metter, and Talmadge Alcott, Savannah; and two sisters, Susie Stover and Ollie Brown, both of Herndon. Pallbearers will be his nephews. The family will receive friends from 5:30 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Notes: Elmore Alcott, Jr. was the son of Elmore Alcott, Sr. and Dora Canady. He was born 1 Jan. 1930.
