EDWARD J. SALTA
(1893 - 1951)

Edward Salta, Sr., 57, of 37th St., and Calumet Ave., Manitowoc, died Thursday morning at the Holy Family hospital, Manitowoc.

He was born in Cooperstown in 1893 and in 1922 married Miss Anna Decker of Kellnersville. They located on a farm near the village and in 1938 moved to a farm in the town of Mishicot. In 1944 they moved to Manitowoc where Mr. Salta was employed by the Aluminum Goods Company.

He is survived by his wife; two daughters, Mrs. Joseph Robinson, of route 2, Manitowoc, Dorothy, at home; three sons, Edward Jr., of route 2, Manitowoc, Robert in the armed forces; two sisters, Mrs. Louis Rezek of Larrabee, Mrs. Fred Casten of Rosecrans; and four grandchildren.

Funeral plans are incomplete and will be announced Friday by the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc.

Funeral services for Edward Salta, Sr., 76, of 37th Street and Calumet Avenue, who died Thursday, will be held at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at the Urbanek and Schlei Funeral Home, Manitowoc, and at 10 o'clock at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, with interment in Holy Cross Cemetery, Mishicot.

Friends may call at the funeral home where the rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Friday.
