Hector and Sallie were the parents of six children born between 1844 and 1859. Sallie and the children are found in 1860 living next door to Hector's parents. He was living with Ann Eliza in a nearby town. By 1861, Sallie had moved with the children into adjacent Richmond County.
Hector is found in 1870 and 1880 census records living with Ann Eliza in Moore County. Their immediate neighbors were members of each of their families. They had no children. In the 1900 and 1910 censuses, Ann Eliza is recorded as widowed. The 1900 census also states she was married zero years with zero children born. [The parcel of Moore County on which they lived became part of Lee County when Lee was created in 1907.]

John A. McNeill (1844-1865 )
Neal Archie McNeill (1846-1919)
