ROBERT O. GERROLL
Robert O. Gerroll, age 83, of 4702 Forest Hills Drive, Two Rivers, died on Tuesday evening, Dec. 16, 2008, at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family.
Robert was born on Feb. 7, 1925, in the town of Eaton, son of the late Herbert and Aletta (Auberg) Gerroll. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1942. On Aug. 8, 1948, he married the former Joyclyn Smith at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers, formerly called Evangelical United Brethren Church. Bob was employed at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Wisconsin Electric Power Company as a Maintenance Supervisor until retiring in 1990. He was a charter member of the Cool City Barbershop Chorus, Clipper City Chordsmen, Meister Singers, and a longtime member of the church choir. He was also a member of the BPOE Elks Lodge 1380 in Two Rivers, the Two Rivers Senior Center and the National Rifle Association.

He was preceded in death by one brother: Harold; his mother-in-law: Martha Hendries; and three brothers-in-law: Roy Kretsch; Ralph Engelhardt; and Walter Leschig.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers. Presiding at the service will be the Rev. Sonia Alvarado, with entombment at Knollwood Chapel Mausoleum, Manitowoc.
The family will greet relatives and friends on Saturday, Dec. 20, 2008, at church, from 9:30 a.m. until the time of service at 11 a.m.
Memorials may be made in Robert's name to Emanuel United Methodist Church or the donor's choice. The Klein & Stangel Funeral Home and Cremation Care Center, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
Robert loved to hunt, fish, sing, tell jokes, golf, read and spend weekends in Door County at Gitche Gumee Resort. Robert sweetened the lives of all he met by giving out Werther's Candies and gold dollars. He was known as the candyman.
