LOUIS SCHAMBUREK

Louis Schamburek, 100, formerly a Whitelaw resident, died Saturday afternoon in Holy Family Hospital Skilled Nursing Facility, Manitowoc.

Due to remodeling in St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw, funeral services will be held 11 a.m. Tuesday in St. Joseph Catholic Church, Kellnersville. The Rev. Richard Heymen will officiate and burial will be in St. Michael Church Cemetery, Whitelaw.

Mr. Schamburek was born Aug. 13, 1878, in the Town of Franklin, son of the late Joseph and Barbara Schrimpf Schamburek. He married Frances Augustin Jan. 18, 1916, in St. Michael Catholic Church. She preceded him in death February, 1970. Mr. Schamburek was a mason contractor for 48 years. He was the oldest member of St. Michael Church and an honorary member of the Holy Name Society.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph and Devota Schamburek of Route 1, Cato; five daughters and sons-in-law, Marie and Leonard Herrmann of Manitowoc, Esther and Peter Braun of Route 1, Whitelaw, Agnes and Erwin Birringer, Helen and Alphonse Lemberger and Rita and Philip Junk of Manitowoc, a son-in-law, Sylvester Birringer of Manitowoc; 31 grandchildren, 36 great grandchildren, and a great great grandchild. He was preceded in death by two daughters, Gertrude and Beatrice, six brothers, a sister, and five grandchildren.

Friends may call in Saur Funeral Home, Kellnersville, after 4 o’clock this Monday afternoon and until the time of services on Tuesday. A Rosary will be recited at 7:30 o’clock this Monday evening by Father Heymen and the Holy Name Society.
