"Louis F. Bourcier passed away Friday morning at St. Mary's Hospital, after a short illness. Age 72 years. He was born Aug. 13, 1891 in Saginaw, where he had been a lifelong resident. In 1914, he married Mattie McCoy. She predeceased him Oct. 14, 1923. He then married Bertha R. Nachiweic here Oct. 1, 1925. She survives him. The deceased was a member of SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Prior to his retirement in 1962, he had been employed by the Jennison Hardware of Bay City, as a salesman for 39 years. Besides his wife, he leaves two sons and three daughters, George M. Joseph; C. Bourcier, Mrs. James (Barbara) Shelton; Mrs. Thomas (Joanne) Lowe, all of Saginaw; Mrs. Thomas (Ruth) Moore, Jr., Tucson, AZ; 18 grandchildren; one great-grandson; also one brother and two sisters, Mrs. John (Marie) McMahon, St. Petersburg, FL; Maurice M. Bourcier; and Mrs. Laura Dembinsky, both of Saginaw; several nephews; and nieces; one of whom, Mrs. Burleigh (Wilma) Ray, made her home with her uncle.
Funeral service will take place at 9:30 a.m. Monday at the Cederberg Funeral Home, 10 a.m. at SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church. Msgr. John J. Sonefeld will officiate with burial in St. Andrew's Cemetery. Friends may call at the chapel after 7 p.m. Saturday, where they will meet with relatives at 8 p.m. Sunday to say the Rosary. Those, who so desire, may give memorial contributions to SS. Peter and Paul's Catholic Church Building Fund."
