Helen Henderson Tallent, 76, of Franklin, passed away Friday, May 9, 2008.

Born in Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Glenn Henderson and Mable Dills Henderson. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by brother, Jake Henderson and sister, Glenda Cook. Helen owned and operated “Helen’s Beauty Shop” in her home for over 50 years. She loved to quilt and enjoyed walking the Greenway. Helen was a Charter Member of Faith Baptist Church.

Helen is survived by her husband, Theodore Tallent; two children, Mike Tallent and wife Sallie and Jerry Tallent and Barbara Kimsey, both of Franklin, NC; two brothers, Arly Henderson and wife Geraldine and Sam Henderson and wife Patsy; six grandchildren, Terri Rogers, Tammy Hovis, Jonathan Tallent, Dustin Tallent, Sherry Sitton and Susan Cook; five great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

A Funeral Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Monday, May 12, 2008 in the Chapel of Macon Funeral Home. Rev. Brian Holland will officiate. Burial will be in the Woodlawn Cemetery.
