Franklin - Glenda Henderson Cook, 61, of Franklin, passed away Thursday, Dec. 20, 2007.
A native of Macon County, she was the daughter of the late Glen and Mable Dills Henderson. Glenda was preceded in death by her brother, Jake Henderson. She was a loving mother and had a special way with the children she provided care for in her home. Over the years, she had a wonderful influence on many children in the community. Glenda was a member of Faith Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband, Gerald Jerry Cook; two children, Sherry Sitton and her husband, Lee, of Franklin, and Susan Cook, of Franklin; two stepchildren, David Cook and Tammy Harris, of Virginia; two brothers, Arley Henderson and his wife, Geraldine, and Sam Henderson and his wife, Patsy; sister, Helen Tallent, and her husband, Theodore, all of Franklin; three grandchildren, Noah Sitton, Maggie Cook and Callie Cook, of Franklin; and a number of nieces and nephews.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday in the chapel of Macon Funeral Home. The Rev. Brian Holland will officiate.
Burial will be in Sugarfork Baptist Church Cemetery.
