Obituary -- Mrs. Mary Blair
Mary catherine Hybskmann was born in Centralia August 24, 1881 and died April 18, 1951 at the age of 69 years and seven months.
She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Hybskmann. She attended Centralia Public schools. In her early girlhood she united with the Congregational Church of this community.
On April 24, 1902 she was united in marriage to Orwin A. Blair. To this union were born three children, Donald W. of Stockton, Calif.; Raymond D. of Centralia; and Mrs. Marie C. Thompson of Stockton, Calif. In addition to her husband and children she leaves four grandchildren, one twin sister, Mrs. E.J. Horth of Brighton, Colo.; two brothers, P.H. Hybskmann, Vermillion, and Alfred Hybskmann of Seneca; also nieces, nephews and other relatives.
She was preceded in death by one sister and four brothers.
At the time of her sister, Josie's, death in 1924, Mrs. Blair and her husband took her daughter, Katherine Condit, into their home and raised her to young womanhood. Katherine is now Mrs. Katherine Shaw of Point Clear, Ala.
Shortly after her marriage Mrs. Blair transferred her membership from the Congregational to the Methodist Church of which she is still a member. She was a member of the Royal neighbors and a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of the Eastern Star. For many years she was an active worker in these organizations. She was a devoted wife and loving mother and will be missed by her many friends and neighbors.
Services were held Friday afternoon in the Methodist Church. The pastor, Rev. Ira C. Willard, officiated. Robert Parker and Richard Williams sang "Somewhere" and "In the Garden." Mrs. William Warren sang the Lord's Prayer. Mrs. O.E. McClary was the accompanist.
Casket bearers were A.E. Myers, Will Horalck, Paul Norton, Donald Norton, Ernest Swan and Oscar Darr.
Interment in Centralia cemetery.
