DALTON, BERKSHIRE Co., MA - Mr. James Henry Snyder ( 85y ) d: June 25, 1963 - Funeral services for James H. Snyder, 85, of 34 East St., who died Tuesday night after a short illness, will be held tomorrow at 2 at the Foley Funeral Home with the Rev. Patrick C. Finleon officiating. Mr. Snyder was born in Rensselaer, NY., the son of George and Ann Mae Mason Snyder. He had lived in Dalton for 60 years and retired from Crane & Co. in 1958 after 47 years service. He was a member of the First Congregational Church. Besides his wife, the former Jessie Porter, he leaves seven sons, George C., Ralph M., Charles B., John F. and Robert A., all of Dalton, James F. of Savannah, GA., and Willis H. of Pittsfield; two daughters, Miss Harriet J. Snyder of Dalton and Mrs. Evelyn Hilton of Norfolk, VA., 17 grandchildren, 2 great - grandchildren, a niece and 2 nephews. Burial will be in Ashuelot Street Cemetery, Dalton, MA. jar END:
