James Daniel Barksdale, 91, passed away Tuesday, April 11 , at the residence, Athens route 4. Services were held Wednesday at the Corinth Church of Christ, with Bro. A. J. Rollings officiating. Burial was in Johnson cemetery.
Mr. Barksdale is survived by the widow, Mrs. Mary Josephine French Barksdale, five daughters, Mrs. Earnest Ruf, Mrs Ruth Pepper, Mrs. Logan Pepper, Mrs. Hassie Leopard, Mrs. Willie Arnett; three sons, T. "T. V.", Wade, and Clayton Barksdale. Also surviving is one brother, E. E. Barksdale, and one sister, Mrs. Sally Inman.
Grandsons served as active pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements were by McConnell-Service of Athens.
