Funeral services were yesterday for Mrs. Ruth Ella Pepper, 78, Athens Rt. 3, at Spry Funeral Home Chapel with Elam B. Kuykendall and A. J. Rollings officiating. Burial was in the Athens City Cemetery.

Mrs. Pepper died Friday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.

She was a lifelong resident of Limestone County and a member of the Corinth Church of Christ.

Survivors include seven daughters, Mrs. Jerome Vasser, Athens Rt. 9, Mrs. James Winston, Mrs. Robert Tribble, both of Madison, Mrs. Rebecca Schrimsher and Mrs. Isabelle Parvin, both of Athens, Mrs. Ralph Johnson, Childersburg, Miss., Dorothy Pepper, Athens Rt. 3; five sons, Franklin, Mitchell, Mason, Douglas and Milton Pepper, all of Athens; three sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ruf, Mrs. Cora Pepper, and Mrs. Hassie Leopard, all of Athens; 33 grandchildren and a number of great-grandchildren.

Grandsons were pallbearers.
