A funeral for Wade Barksdale, 64, of Rt. 4, Athens, will be at 2:30 p.m. today at the Corinth Church of Christ. A. J. Rollings and Winston Brackeen will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Cemetery with McConnell-Service directing.
Mr. Barksdale died at 11:45 p.m. Friday at the Athens-Limestone Hospital.
Surviving are the widow, Mrs. Algie Barksdale; four daughters, Mrs. Charles Harrison, Nashville, and Mrs. Donald Fogg, Mrs. Bobby Thornton and Mrs. Thomas W. Claxton, all of Athens; three sons, French Barksdale, Kenneth Barksdale and Gerald Barksdale, all of Athens; eight grandchildren, two great-grandchildren; two brother, T. L. Barksdale and Clayton Barksdale, both of Athens; five sisters, Mrs. Bertha Ruf, Mrs. William Arnett, Mrs. Ruth Pepper, Mrs. Hassie Leopard, and Mrs. Pepper, all of Athens.
