Lieutenant ABRAHAM HULL, Co. I, 77th Regiment of Illinois Volunteer Infantry

Abraham Hull was born on ____________ __, 1820/21 in Pennsylvania, the son of Jacob Hull and Sarah (Miller) Hull. Jacob Hull was born on September 29, 1798 in Franklin County, Pennsylvania, the son of ___________ Hull and ___________ (___________) Hull. Jacob Hull was married to Sarah Miller in ____________ County, Pennyslvania c. 1820. Sarah Miller was born on August 19, 1806 in ___________ County.
The children born to Jacob and Sarah are believed to include the following. There were almost certainly more;
1. Abraham Hull, born c. 1820/21 in Pennsylvania.

2. Zacharias Hull, born c. 1829/30 in Pennsylvania.

3. Amy Hull, born c. 1830/31 in Pennsylvania.

4. Rebecca Hull, born c. 1832/33 in Pennsylvania.

5. Richmond Hull, born c. 1835/36 in Pennsylvania.

6. Isaac Hull, born c. 1839 in Pennsylvania.

7. Elizabeth Hull, born c. 1842 in Pennsylvania.

At the time of the 1850 census, the Hulls are found in Thompson Township, Fulton County, Pennsylvania. Jacob and Sarah were 52, Zacharias was 20, Amy 19, Rebecca 17, Richmond 14, Isaac 11, and Elizabeth was 8. His son Abraham had married and was settled in his own home.
The family moved to Knox County, Illinois shortly after this census was taken, probably late in 1850, settling in what would become Salem Township of Knox County, Illinois.
At the time of the 1860 census, the Hull family is found in Salem Township of Knos County, Illinois;

The 1880 census shows Jacob at 81, widowed, and staying with Isom and Elizabeth, and their children.

Jacob Hull died on 1 Nov 1883 in Salem, Knox County, Illinois and his mortal remains were almost certainly laid beside those of his wife in the Summitt-Douglas Cemetery in Knox County, Illinois, though no tombstone exists today.
