A lifelong Caledonia township resident, Mr. Ramsay was born May 10, 1925 on the family homestead to Thomas B. and Agnes (Fleming) Ramsay. Mr. Ramsay farmed the family homestead and was presently in partnership with his son. He was a lifelong member and past trustee of the Caledonia Presbyterian Church. He served on the board of directors for 20 years of the Sauk County Farmers Union Co-op and for more than 10 years on the school board of the Portage Community School District. He was a member of the Portage Elks lodge and the Knights of Pythias.
He was preceded in death by a son, Thomas J. Ramsay; and his parents, Thomas and Agnes Ramsay.
