Maude Ellen Raymer, 88, of Edina, died at 9:30 a.m. Sunday, May 14, 1989, at Grim-Smith Hospital.
Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Wednesday, May 17, 1989, at the Hudson-Rimer Funeral Chapel at Edina, and the Rev. DeWayne Wellborn officiating. Burial was in the Linville Cemetery at Edina.
Born July 28, 1900, in Knox County, she was the daughter of William and Molly (Hosington) Cheatum. On July 30, 1921, in Quincy, Ill., she married Charles Cleveland Raymner, who preceded her in death on June 21, 1946.
Also preceding her in death were a son, George Raymer, two brothers and one sister.
Surviving are a son, Charles Richard Raymer of LaPlata; five daughters, Mrs. Kester (Doris) Pruett and Mrs. Charles (Dorothy Ann) Wheeler, both of Edina, Mrs. Virgil (Mildred) Pyles of Licking, Betty Jo Parrish of Knox City and Margaret Jean Smith of LaPlata; a brother, Harold Cheatum of Licking; a sister, Mrs. Helen Queen of Edina; 21 grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Raymer lived most of her life in Edina and Knox County with the exception of a few years when she lived in Kansas. She was a member of the Christian Church.
