After her husband's death in 1911, Annis moved to California to join her sister Hannah (Chandler) Epler (they married brothers).
They lived in Pasadena & San Diego.
Annis died in 1927 and is buried at Greenwood Memorial Park, San Diego. She also has a memorial headstone at Cedar City
