Daughter of Welcome Chandler and Amy Phelps of Canada and Austin, Mower Co. Minnesota. She was one of 11 children. She married Joshua C. Epler in Austin Mower Co. Mn on Dec 25 1961. They stayed in Austin until after the Civil War, then moved to Ottertail Ottertail Co. Mn in 1880's then moved to Great Falls Cascade Co. Mt. in 1890's, then after Joshua died in 1904, she moved to Pasadena Calif. Hannah and sister Anice Chandler married Epler brothers and ended up in California.

Mrs. Hannah C. Epler, a resident of California for the past twenty one years, passed away at her residence, 1121 North Stoneman St, Alhambra, yesterday afternoon at the age of 83 years. Mrs. Epler is survived by her daughter, Mrs. May E, Bower of the Pasadena College.
