(1892 - 1918)
Mrs. Ella Thiers, wife of Walter Thiers, baggage man at the Northwestern depot, died of pneumonia Sunday following an attack of influenza.
The deceased, whose maiden name was Ella Handl, was 26 years old and is survived by her husband and a week old child.
The funeral was held Tuesday morning. Interment was in Calvary Cemetery.

The following victims of Spanish influenza in the city were reported last week: Mrs. Mary Michtisch, 32; Mrs. Ida Luckow, 35; Mrs. Frank Hendricks (sic), 32; Mrs. Ella Thiers, 26; Walter Jagodinski, 27; Mrs. J.G. Teporten.

MISS HANDL 1st JUNE BRIDE
Walter Thiers, day baggage man of the C.N.W. and Miss Ella Handl were principals in the first June wedding in the city today.
After marriage a wedding dinner was served at the home of the bride at Washington and 19th Streets.
The wedding was a quiet one.
Mr. Thiers came here from Appleton.
