William Richardson Jones, 80, of 123 Euclid Av., Clarksburg, died Tuesday evening at the residence of a daughter, Mrs. Harry C. Beverage, at Clarksburg.
Born Oct. 24, 1875, in Wood County, he was a son of the late Dennis and Eliza Nowery Jones.
He was a member of the First Methodist church in Clarksburg.
Survivors include two sons, Harold C. Jones of Eloy, Ariz., Bernal Jones of Girard, O.; two daughters, Mrs. Harry C. Beverage, at whose residence he died, Mrs. Daniel Springston of Las Cruces, N.M.; three brothers, J.B. Jones of Charleston, Scott Jones of Eldorado, Kan.; D.O. Jones of Parkersburg; one sister, Mrs. David Congleton; seven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Mrs. Sadie Barry Jones, who died in 1950.
The body will be received by the Leavitt funeral home in Parkersburg at 10 a.m. Friday.
Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Friday at the Leavitt funeral home. Burial will be in the IOOF cemetery.
