Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 1 p.m. from the Leavitt funeral home for Mrs. Sadie Mowery Jones, of 430 Lee avenue, Clarksburg, who died Monday at Clarksburg.
The body will be received by the Leavitt funeral home today at 3 p.m. and will remain there until time for services. The Rev. Jennings Fast, pastor of St. Paul's Methodist church, will officiate and burial will follow in the IOOF cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home.
Mrs. Jones was born August 11, 1879, the son (should read daughter) of James Barry and Cornelia Phyllis Barry. She had been a member of the First Methodist church in Clarksburg since 1903 and belonged to its Woman's Society of Christian Service. She was also a member of the Women's Christian Temperance Union and the Clarksburg Women's club.
Survivors include her husband, William R. Jones; two sons, Harold C. Jones, Galveston, Tex., and Bernal L. Jones, Clarksburg; two daughters, Mrs. Harry Beverage, Clarksburg, and Mrs. Laura Mai Springston, Buffalo, N.Y.; one brother, Michael Barry, Ravenna, O.; six grandchildren.
