Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at the First Presbyterian Church, 702 E. Cottonwood Lane, for Harold Jones, former City Superintendent of Streets, who died Monday while on a trip to Las Cruces, N.M. Rev. Robert Stahmer (?), pastor, will officiate.
Mr. Jones was born Feb. 20, 1902 in Parkersburg, W.Va. He moved to Arizona in 1952. Three years later he moved to Casa Grande where he served as City Superintendent of Streets and Public Works until his retirement in 1967. Since his retirement, he and his wife, Elizabeth Ann (Betty) have traveled extensively.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his daughters, Elizabeth Hall of Pleasant Grove, Utah, Carol Slay of Tucson; his son, William of San Jose, Calif.; his sisters, Laura Springston of Buffalo, N.Y. and Lois Kirkpatrick of Clarksburg, W.Va. and several grandchildren.
He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and the Casa Grande Valley Elks Lodge and the Presbyterian Church.
The family prefers memorial donations to the Christian Children's fund or a charity of the donor's choice.
