Delores M. Bollig died Thursday, Aug. 15, 2013, at St. Mary's Care Center in Madison. She was 88.

Mrs. Bollig was born Nov. 5, 1924, in Ashton, the daughter of Frank and Helen (née Spahn) Acker.

She married Leonard Bollig June 4, 1946, at St. Peter's Catholic Church in Ashton.

Her interests included caring for her family, gardening, canning and baking. She was a member of St. Bernard's Catholic Church in Middleton.

Mrs. Bollig was preceded in death by her parents; one son, Joseph; one son-in-law, Dave Peterson; seven brothers, Jerome, Casper, Greg, Ed, Jim, Raymond, and Lawrence; and one sister, Marcella Wagner.

She is survived by her husband; one son, Steve; six daughters, Bonnie Harrington, Barb Pitterle, Lorraine, Bev Kekec, Patty Peterson and Debra Keller; four sisters, Marion Hensen, Helen Gilles, Jane Whitt, and Jeanette Kurt; 16 grandchildren; and 16 great-grandchildren.

A Mass of christian burial will be held at St. Peter's Catholic Church located at 7129 Highway K in Ashton Wednesday, Aug. 21, at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Peter's Cemetery. Visitation will be held Tuesday, Aug. 20, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Gunderson West Funeral Home, located at 7435 University Ave. in Middleton, and also at the church from 10 a.m. until the time of service Wednesday.
