PASSING OF MEDLEY CHILTON.
Medley Chilton, of Newark, who has been an invalid for several years, died on Thursday of last week at 10 o'clock a. m. He had spent his entire life in Newark and vicinity and was a man highly esteemed by all who knew him. At the time of his death he made his home with his son, Melvin. Besides his son he is survived by two brothers, living near Newark, and one sister, who lives in Palmyra.
He was 81 years old when the end came, having lived to see this country advance from a wild wilderness into its present progressive stage. Funeral services were conducted Monday.

NEWARK MAN DIES
Medley Chilton, of north of Newark, died at his home last Thursday morning and was buried at Newark Saturday morning in the I. O. O. F. cemetery. Mr. Chilton had been in or health for several years,a fflicted with rheumatism.
He leaves his aged wife, an invalid, and one son, Melvin. Three children preceded him in death, Muriel and Hester and one son, Robert L. Chilton, wao died at Camp Funston, in whose honor Newark's Post of the American Legion is named.
