Mrs. Elvina Williams Hinman, daughter of John and Mary Williams was born February 20, 1879, in Cuba, Kan. She passed away July 28, 1957, in the Belleville hospital at the age of 78.
As a child, she attended a country grade school in Republic county.
On February 14, 1906, she was married to James P. Hinman. In 1929, Mrs. Hinman moved to Belleville, where she has been a resident until her death.
She joined the Wesleyan Methodist church of Belleville in 1959, and has been faithful to the church with her attendance and support from that time.
She was preceded in death by her father, mother, six brothers and three sisters. Her survivors include one son, Clarence, a daughter-in-law, Lucille, one granddaughter, two sisters, and several nieces and nephews.
She was laid to rest at the side of her father, mother and sister, in Hawks cemetery east of Cuba, which is located on the edge of the homestead place and which is near the place of her birth and early years.
