Anna Elisabeth Springmann was born in Foerde, Westfalia, Prussia, the daughter of Fredrich Rueenaufer and Anna Margaretha Grossmann, and she married Peter Anton Doemer on January 7th, 1849. She came to the United States on July 22nd, 1852 with her husband and first two children from Antwerp, Belgium on the Belgian Ship Maria. After arriving in Detroit, Peter and Anna had six more children. In order, all of their children are as follows. Anna Elisabeth Doemer (b. Oct 12, 1849 d. About 1920) Heinrich Doemer (b. May 13, 1851 d. 1852 Shortly after arriving to the U.S.), Marie Josephine Doemer (b. 1853 d. 1853), Robert Rudolf Doemer (b. July 17th, 1854 d. March 25th, 1926), Anthony Doemer (b. July 5th, 1856 d. February 4th, 1924), John Doemer (b. April 3rd, 1859 d. April 7th, 1945), Christoper Doemer (b. 1861 d. 1864) Josephine Augustine Doemer (b. March 10th, 1864 d. July 22nd, 1921) After her husband's death in 1865, Anna remarried to William Springmann. They had one, and posibly two more children together. The known child was Joseph Springmann (b. 1870 d. 1943)
