Josephine Augustine Wuergess (nee Doemer) is the sixth child of Peter Anton Doemer and Anna Elisabeth Doemer (nee. Rueenaufer search under the name "Springmann".) Josephine married John Wolfgang Wuergess on September 18th, 1883 at the Sacred Heart Church, Wayne County, Detroit, Michigan. Josephine and John had five children, two girls, and three boys. They were: Marie Josephine Wuergess (b. April 6th, 1885 d. March 26th, 1971), John J. Wuergess (b. September 24th, 1886 d. 1943), Francis Anthony Wuergess (b. July 6th, 1888 d. 1968), Catherine A. Wuergess (b. October 13th, 1890 d. July 28th, 1976), and Joseph Casper Wuergess (b. January 6th, 1893 d. 1966) John Wuergess passed away at a young age, by the 1900 Census Josephine is a widow, and living with her oldest daughter Marie. Josephine Died of "Extreme Intestinal Blockage" according to her death certificate. It was Josephine's Grandson, Harry Kraus that provided me with a great deal of the family history and information.
