Norbert H. Treichel, 61, of 216 Mill Street, Reedsville, died at home Saturday, March 17, 1990, after a short illness.
Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Rev. David Kipfmiller will officiate and burial will be in the Westside Cemetery.
He was born May 15, 1928, in Reedsville, son of the late John and Elsie Maertz Treichel. He married LaVerne Wordel on May 8, 1954, in Brillion. He was employed at the Brillion Works for many years. He served as a Sargeant in the United States Army from 1950-1952. He was a member of St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville; the American Legion Post of 199 of Reedsville; he was a past member of the Reedsville Fire Department.
Survivors include his wife, LaVerne; a sister and brother-in-law, LaVerne and Edwin Bialek Jr. of Manitowoc; a half brother and sister-in-law, Gilbert and
Alberta Engelbrecht of Reedsville; three half sisters and two brothers-in-law, Lucille and Losi Wicke of Suring, Mildred Cummings of Reedsville, Evelyn and Helmuth Rusch of New Holstein; two sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Irene and James Decker of Milwaukee and Elaine and Erwin Waach of Valders; two brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Erhardt and Audrey Wordel of Brillion and Elroy and Diane
Worde of Newark, California; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a half brother, Ray Treichel.
