Linda R. Schoenfeld, 57, of 708 High Avenue, Sheboygan went home to her Lord and Savior on Monday, March 15, 1999 at St. Nicholas Hospital where she had been a patient for the past six weeks.
She was born on November 24, 1941 in Sheboygan, the daughter of the late Raymond and Arline (VerGowe) Brethouwer. She graduated from Oostburg High School in 1960. On April 5, 1975 she married Lyle W. Schoenfeld in Oostburg. Linda was a laundress at the Sheboygan Retirement Home for the past ten years.
Linda was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg and was a volunteer for the EAA in Oshkosh. She enjoyed photography, aviation, traveling, and fishing.
She is survived by her husband, Lyle, two daughters, Dawn Schoenfeld and Sandra (Paul) Jacquette both of Sheboygan; two sons, Shawn (Carne) Powell of Iowa and Todd (Amanda) Powell of California; two grandchildren, Collin and Katy Powell; a foster daughter, Dana Foelske of Sheboygan Falls, two foster granddaughters, Hope and Paton Foelske; two sisters, Jo(Keith) Wallner and kathi Brethouwer, both of Oostburg; four brothers, Richard (Mary) Brethouwer of Manitowoc, Donald (Patti) Brethouwer of Sheboygan Falls, Larry (Renee) Brethouwer and Robert (Yvonne) Brethouwer, both of Oostburg.
Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday, March 20, 1999 at First Presbyterian Church in Oostburg with the Rev. James DeCamp, pastor, officiating. A family service will precede at 1:15 p.m. in the fellowship hall. Burial will follow at Wildwood Cemetery in Sheboygan.
Friends may call at the Huehns-Wenig Funeral Home in Oostburg on Friday from 4-8 p.m., and on Saturday, at the church, from 9 a.m. until the time of services.
A memorial fund will be established in her name.
