Isa was born to parents Arthur Samuel Abrams (b.1888-d.1954) and Adelaide S. Shearer Abrams (b.1893-d.1926). She was known as "Isa" by the Abrams family and as "Mickey" by the Hull and Bosworth families.

Isa was the fifth of five children that included: Wallace Ray Abrams (b.1912-d.1913); Glen Willard Abrams (b.1913-d.1978); Ruth Viola (Abrams) Aldrich (b.1919-d.1986); and, John Sanford Abrams (b.1921-d.1978).

Mickey married Stanley Gordon Bosworth (b.1920-d.1996) on May 23, 1941 in Covina, CA. They had two children: Judith Katherine Bosworth Straughan (b.1943) and Donald Alan Bosworth (b.1947). At the time of her death, Isa had four grandsons and seven great-grandchildren (4 great-granddaughters and 3 great-grandsons).

Mickey's life began on the family farm in Gilbert, IA. Just before she turned 3 years old in 1926, her mother died. In 1927 her father moved the family to CA and they lived on a Chicken/Egg ranch in Azusa, CA through 1929. The ranch was sold due to the Depression and her father took on odd jobs on area farms and groves. One such lemon grove was owned by Louise and Eddie Hamilton. After Eddie's death, Arthur moved his family into the Hamilton house. Arthur (at 45 years) and Louise (at 60) were married in the fall of 1933 (est.). Due to problems in the home, the courts suggested to Arthur that he might want to move his family away from Louise if he wanted to keep them. So in January 1934 Arthur moved the family back to the Iowa farm. By the Fall of 1934 Arthur moved two of his children John and Isa back to Baldwin Park, CA with him and lived with Louise.

In 1936, due to the continued negative Arthur/Louise family situation, Isa moved to live with her brother Glenn Willard Abrams and his wife Sybil, in Los Angeles, CA. She finished 8th grade there. In 1937, Clinton and Ethel Hull gained guardianship of Mickey and she moved into their home in Covina, CA. In this home she found loving parents and a "sister" Tyne, one year younger, and the positive years of her life began.

Mickey's high school years were spent taking business office type classes and she graduated mid-year of her senior year. During her years with the Hulls, she spent many summers and weekends at their beach cottage on Newport Island, Newport Beach, CA. She met Gordon Bosworth and they were married in May 1941. By December 1943, Gordon was in the Navy when their daughter, Judith Katherine was born. After WWII they built their first house in Pasadena, CA.

In 1954 the family moved to a larger home also in East Pasadena, in an area in the foothills called Hastings Ranch. She was active in Girl Scouts with her daughter and in Cub/Boy Scouts with her son. Mickey was a member of Trinity Presbyterian Church in Pasadena and a member of the Women's Guild and other church committees.
