She was born October 13, 1914 to Matilda Margaret Childs and Edward Sylvester Childs. Margaret married Clarence L Olauson, June 15, 1933 in the Salt Lake Temple. Margaret was a kind, compassionate and generous person whose great pride and joy was her family.
They have five children. Two children preceded her in death.
Margaret is survived by her husband Clarence, daughter Jeanette (Duane) Christian, sons Ronald (Marcia) Olauson, and Douglas (Margaret) Olauson; 19 grandchildren; 31 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Her husband, children, relatives, and her many friends will miss her gracious ways and concern for others. Margaret loved those in the Willow Canyon 5th Ward.
Margaret was a member of the Daughters of the Utah Pioneers and served in several callings for The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. While living in Richmond, California she served as president of the Relief Society. During World War II she helped by working at Geneva Steel. Margaret enjoyed caring for others and worked in the American Fork Hospital, giving love and aid.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, June 14, 2003, at 10 am in the Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary Chapel, 1950 E.10600 South, Sandy, with a viewing from 9:00 a.m. - 9:45 a.m. Interment Larkin Sunset Gardens.
