Fred Robert Kratz, 81, of Rt. 2 Brillion, died Monday morning at home following a long illness.
Funeral services will be Wednesday in Trinity Lutheran Church, Rantoul. The Rev. Ferdinand Timiler will officiate and burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Mrs. Kratz was born Aug. 7, 1896, in the town of Eaton, son of the late Frederick and Julia Juckem Kratz. He married Lena DeGrand April 23, 1924, in Eaton. He farmed until 1961, when he retired. Mr. Kratz was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church in Rantoul.

Survivors include his wife, four sons, Henry, Arthur and Norbert of Brillion and Ralph of Manitowoc; five daughters, Mrs. Clarence (LaVerne) Kangas of DePere, Mrs. Ralph (Lucille) Gronke of Kewaunee, Mrs. Lester C (Bernice) Behnke of Brillion, Mrs. George (Lillian) Mangin of Whitelaw and Mrs. Wesley (Evelyn) Loose of Chilton, 32 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren. A daughter, Helen preceded him in death in 1950. Three brothers and two sisters and two grandsons also preceded him in death.
